PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS ON THE INTERNATIONAL BRITISH EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM AND ICT IN THE CLASSROOM TO AL HASAAD AL TARBAWI PRIVATE SCHOOLS

Objective: To enable the schools’ staff to adopt international educational programs and enable teachers to effectively use ICT in their lessons.

ASK’s Role: ASK designed, developed and implemented two professional development workshops for Al Hasaad’s leadership team and teachers covering the International British Educational System and integrating ICT in the classroom.

International British Educational System Workshop

ASK developed and conducted introductory workshops on the available British International Education Systems to advance the Schools’ International program to further include secondary classes (Grades 7 to 12). The workshop familiarized the participants with the GCSE, IGSCE, GCE (O-Levels and A-Levels) offered here in Jordan by both the University of Cambridge International Examinations and Edexcel managed by the British Council.
ICT in the Classroom

ASK developed a professional development program especially designed for the school’s needs, under the title of the Effective use of ICT in the Classroom. This program was delivered to the schools’ teachers in two separate groups, male and female. The program incorporated both theoretical and practical work to ensure that all skills and knowledge learnt are effectively applied in the classroom.
