ASK’s Leadership Development Programs feature a mix of interactive class discussions, small group exercises, individual critical thinking assignments, and guided action planning. Complex concepts will be presented in simple, compelling visual forms, and lecturing will be kept to a minimum. Rich class discussions will provide participants the opportunity to successfully apply their context to the material and get feedback from others.

Maximizing Your Leadership Effectiveness

Short Description
To be able to function as a leader, you must know who you are, where you are going, and how you will get there. Most leaders are not (fully) aware of their own competencies and capabilities. In this program, you will acquire skills to identify who you are and what makes you unique as a leader. You will learn how to lead your team in times of growth and change, and bring momentum to your organization.

Your commitment as a leader has a big impact on the culture of your organization. In order to continue your success in times of change, you must turn to your company’s values and adjust your business strategies and corporate culture. As a leader guided by core values, you create, shape and change your organization.

During this program, we will enable you to successfully build an effective culture by promoting outstanding performance, setting clear targets, expectations and objectives. If you want to inspire and ignite your team, you must provide your employees with the support they need, so that they – and your company – can continue to flourish.

This program will enable you to:
• Assess your own leadership style and competencies
• Adapt your personal leadership style to the challenges
• Establish trust and respect inside your organization
• Create an environment that stimulates your team members
• Define the gap between current and desired culture
• Define the desired team changes in order to change the culture
• Create a realistic action plan to be implemented in your organisation
• Develop a personal action plan for continuing to improve as a leader

Achieving Results by Coaching

Short Description
Your employees expect from you to be challenged and fully recognized for their efforts. By integrating coaching in your work as a leader, you will be able to identify performance issues easier and quicker. Coaching is one of the most effective tools as a leader in the way that it emphasizes action and results. Your guidance and motivation will enable your employees to use their talents to achieve full potential. The benefits of coaching are not exclusively employee-oriented; on the contrary, it benefits your organization as a whole and ensures continuing growth.

This program will enable you to master the two main components of coaching: Feedback and Goal Setting. ASK will provide you with concrete guidelines on what employees are aiming to achieve and how they can succeed in doing so. We focus on your role as a coach, with the objective to help others boosting their individual performance. You will learn how to further enhance your coaching skills to improve the work of your team members, achieve higher quality of work and better corporate results!

This program will enable you to:
• Learn the different stages of coaching
• Discover your own personal coaching style
• Analyse the impact of body language, tone of voice, and words used
• Identify and apply ways to give clear instructions and delegate assignments
• Develop techniques for formulating goals for yourself and your team
• Give constructive feedback
• Identify what employees want most from their job, employer and leader
• Practice applying motivational skills
• Develop a personal action plan to utilize coaching skills
