DR. AMIN AMIN, PRESIDENT AND CEO OF ASK ARABIA, SPEAKING AT THE “Entrepreneurship: a Euro-Arab solution? – IN THE HAGUE/ NETHERLANDS”
Dr. Amin Amin, the President and CEO of ASK Arabia, participated as one of the key speakers in the “Entrepreneurship: a Euro-Arab Solution?” in The Hague, Netherlands organized by Lutfia Rabbani Foundation. Dr. Amin discussed the role of Arab education systems in allowing new generation entrepreneurs that should eventually create jobs in the Arab World and allow for better economic cycle and contribute in building stable social and political systems.
Moreover, Dr. Amin focused on the future collaboration opportunities and importance of fostering entrepreneurship between the Arab World and Europe, in line with today’s context with the current refugee crisis between both regions. Dr. Amin emphasized the critical relation between the Arab region and Europe and the perspective of the MENA being the backyard of Europe. Whether future economic growth or political instability Europe will be the first to be affected and this requires a more active role in supporting a better entrepreneurial eco system in the Arab region.
Dr. Amin emphasized the importance of widening the pipeline of potential Arab entrepreneurs and the role of basic education in allowing this. The event was held on the 3rd and the 4th of December 2015, in The Hague – Netherlands, gathering stakeholders from the private and public sectors, in addition to political decision makers from the Arab World and Europe. The event succeeded in achieving a defined agenda for allowing the enhancement of the Arab entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The Lutfia Rabbani Foundation, organizing the public event “Entrepreneurship: a Euro-Arab Solution?” has been bridging Europe and the Arab World for the past 35 years. The Foundation emphasizes the significance of a strong, interactive and mutually beneficial relationship between the two civilizations.
In under four years, Dr. Amin has established ASK in Jordan, the UAE, and Qatar. ASK has successfully tailored over 3,200 workshops with special focus on education and teacher training, worked with 1,200 schools, impacted over 472,000 students and trained over 14,100 school community members, including teachers, school principals and Ministry of Education officials.
In 2009, Dr. Amin was selected as a High Impact Social Entrepreneur by Endeavor in Jordan. Moreover, in 2012, he was ranked as the 119th Most Influential Arab in the World in the coveted Arabian Business Power List: Power 500. More recently, Dr. Amin was recognized as the 2013 Global Endeavor Advocate and as the Mentor of the Year 2013 by the award-winning Mowgli Foundation. He is currently an active and influential mentor for the INJAZ’s Social Leaders Program and Mowgli’s entrepreneurs. He also serves on the advisory board of the Lothian Youth Achievement Center and is on the board of directors of the Canadian International Education Management Services.
