Dutch Exposure: Innovation in Teaching & Learning Study Trip – The Netherlands

ASK Consulting & Training is proud to announce yet another outstanding accomplishment adding it to the series of successes for the year of 2017. In cooperation with GEMS Education and the Ministry of Education in the United Arab Emirates, ASK concluded the second consecutive Innovation in Teaching & Learning Study Trip to the Netherlands that targeted 21 innovative Emirati teachers who were amongst the winners of the Emirates Innovative Teacher Award. The set objective of the trip was introducing the participants to the most important innovations and latest achievements in the field of education in the Netherlands through a number of visits to Holland’s most prestigious and innovative schools and universities including Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), ranked sixth in the world as the best engineering university and InHolland University, long known for its cutting-edge programs in the field of teacher training and preparation. The goal of the arranged visits was to expose teachers to the most advanced educational practices in the fields of school leadership, teaching, evaluation, innovation, moral education and activating the role of the students’ parents in the educational process. The trip included other educational leisure activities and touristic attractions such as Nemo Science Center and Keukenhof garden.

Various intensive and intellectually enriching discussions, debates, and exchanges of views regarding education took place and the trip was met with the utmost enthusiasm from the participating teachers.

Dr. Amin Amin, the President & CEO of ASK Arabia, emphasized how this program comes in line with ASK’s tireless work and various initiatives to encourage innovation in education as well as reap the benefits of successful international experiences such as the Dutch experience. Dr. Amin further discussed how ASK will increase its efforts in this field by organizing similar educational trips in the upcoming months.
