Ithra’a Program launch
ASK Consulting & Training in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Education Council concluded the implementation of the first phase of Ithra’a; developing the skills of Arabic Language & Islamic Studies teachers’ program. The program was implemented for 70 private schools in both Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.
What distinguishes Ithra’a is being the first program of its kind to take the blended learning approach combining both face-to-face training and e-learning. Additionally, the program comes in line with the Abu Dhabi Education Council’s vision, which calls for the need to take advantage of Information and Communication Technology tools in the area of professional development for teachers and school leaders. Furthermore, the program is in line with the council’s focus on promoting the teaching of Arabic language and Islamic Studies and elevating Emirati students’ outcomes in both subjects.
The training program developed by ASK consists of two main pillars:
The first pillar: Face to Face Training
The design and implementation of the first phase of the E-Mentor program has been completed and it includes 3 training workshops equivalent to 12 training hours.
The second pillar: E-Modules
8 E-Modules have been developed based on the latest technological advancements. The E-Modules pertain to the teaching of Arabic language for native and non-native speakers in addition to other specialized courses in the teaching of Islamic Studies.
The following was highlighted by Dr. Amin, CEO and Founder of ASK Arabia: “This is the first program of its kind in the Arab region reflecting ASK’s vision, commitment, and work towards the full integration of ICT tools in the overall professional development field for the basic education sector, specifically for Arabic language and Islamic Studies teaching.”
